Thomas (Tom Tom) was diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumour in February 2024 and despite undergoing radiotherapy and chemotherapy, he sadly passed away just nine months later.

He was 9 years old.

Thomas always loved it at Avon Heath, but when he became ill, it became even more of a sanctuary. He loved to do the activity trails and he loved the peacefulness of the Heath. One of his favourite bits was the ‘podium’ along the trail, so it felt like the perfect place for his bench.

We paint pebbles for Thomas and leave them at places we visit, so we are taking a little piece of him with us everywhere we go.

You can see more of his story and his pebbles on Instagram @remembering_tom_tom

Feel free to leave us a message if you visit Thomas’ bench 🩵

Saw Tom's bench and rock this morning on our walk. Really sorry to hear his story. Wishing his family the best. This is a beautiful thing you have done. Will always think of Tom when we pass this bench and remember that life is precious.

We have been to Avon Heath and came across Tom Tom's bench and followed his story! We all had a thought for Tom and my son stood on his favourite stones. We said "for you Tom Tom" and carried on our walk with you all in our hearts 💕
